If you haven’t yet jumped on the healthy trend of getting cute plants for your room, let me convince you.

There is a lot of talk about how plants in your apartment affect you and everyone around you positively, but how? After learning about this phenomenon of house plants’ benefits, I decided to do some research so you don’t have to.

Plants are highly underestimated not only in helping us by reminding us of nature, but also keeping our air clean. Depending on the plant of your choosing, the leafy friend can remove harmful chemicals from the air that you may not even know about! For example, peace lilies are extremely beautiful; however, they aren’t just known for their looks. They actually bring moisture into the room which removes dust and other harmful particles with up to 20% accuracy. The care process for the peace lily is also pretty low, they only need indirect sunlight and spritzes of water!

Another good plant to have around your apartment is the snake plant. It also does not need a lot of attention or sunlight, but the rewards are amazing! Not only are they a stunning addition to any living room, but they clean the air constantly and remove lots of chemicals. These bad boys are good for any spot in your house and can be found in many varieties of size and even in some different colors.

The last plant recommendation that I think is the superstar of all plants is aloe vera. You have probably used its soothing gel, especially if you have been living in sunny California for a while. They are most well-known for their relief and healing properties to your sunburns, but they are good for so much more. Not only are aloe vera plants great for your skin, they also are great to eat! Aloe is sworn by as a vitamin C and antioxidant source, and it can even reduce cancer (in certain cases).

If you have been hesitant to pick up one of those cute four dollar plants at Trader Joes, you have been advised, run don’t walk. If not for the health benefits definitely for the vibes that they bring to each room!
