I am a lover of all things Halloween, especially things I get to experience. One of my favorite things to do as someone who lives in Florida is to go to Universal Halloween Horror Nights every year. This is a Halloween event hosted by Universal Studios where, at night, the park completely transforms. Every year they create ten unique haunted houses with five original scare zones. As you weave through the park, in and out of haunted houses, you are also walking through scare zones, getting on rides, and eating and drinking delicious unique items.
I go more than once and enjoy every single trip. I started going to Halloween Horror Nights by chance. I was never a horror lover, I just liked witches and skeletons. One year for my 15th birthday my dad got me and some friends to go to the event and while I was terrified, I agreed. It ended up being one of the best Halloween experiences I had ever had, and it meant so much that I got to share it with friends. I know how nerve-racking it can be so if you are thinking about going to Halloween Horror Nights, I hope these top three reasons convince you to get your ticket and go.
- The Immersive experience

I am not kidding; this event is one of the most immersive Halloween experiences you can get while still not being entirely petrified. Halloween Horror Nights is an event where you can get scared without being touched by the scare actors. These houses are in production for an entire year and are only available during Halloween Horror Nights, which is usually two months long. These houses engulf all your senses from sight and scent all the way to hearing; they think of every detail in order to provide a full experience.
- You Can Go with friends

Yeah, you can go alone but where’s the fun in that? Going with friends is a lot more fun. You are all in an amusement park at night getting scared pantless! You’ll learn if your friends are the fighting or flying type and if they’ll leave you in the dust if you ever encounter a scary monster. Not only can you get there with friends but being scared is a great way to meet people! When you’re at Halloween Horror Nights, don’t be scared to strike up some conversation with those waiting in line with you; you’ll end up enlarging your group of people to hold on to and you’ll have some good laughs.

From being thrown into these wild scary stories to meeting new friends to trying crazy food and drinks this event is objectively fun. It is truly a unique experience unlike any other. I’ve gone to other parks and events in the past and Halloween Horror Nights remains my favorite one to attend to. Not only do they have original houses, but they usually have houses themed after certain movies, TV shows and even artists. For example, this year they have a house themed after the musician, The Weeknd. Again, this event is one you can’t miss, especially if you are a Halloween lover.
