Spooky Baskets for the Spooky Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

I love Halloween, more specifically I love the whole spooky season that comes with the holiday. A few years ago, I decided to make my sister a Spooky Basket to start the season and it’s a tradition I’ve kept up with since then. Spooky Baskets don’t have to be complex. I find it so rewarding to share my love of the season and to see the smiles on their faces!

Start with a fall-colored basket.

I always find the cutest ones at Dollar Tree or 5 Below! (Just because something is cheap doesn’t mean it isn’t cute!)

Add your base layer.

I’ve used throw blankets, dish towels, and fall scarves. Something soft and cozy for the cold months ahead!

Pick up some fall decor.

Small signs, anything pumpkin-related, ghosts, ghouls… the options are endless!

A cute coffee mug

You can never have too many!

Cozy socks!

Warm festive socks? Sign me up!

Candy!

Top it all off with their favorite candy. It wouldn’t be Halloween without it!

The best way to share these is to have a spooky movie night, cuddle up on the couch and share!

Here’s to making some spooky season memories!
