It is officially the fall season, definitely what I would say is the best season of the year. Who doesn’t like the idea of the leaves changing colors, sweater weather and pumpkin spice? Something about this time of year brings immense comfort and good vibes. This time of the year has so many fun little activities that I cannot get enough of. Every year I take advantage of everything to do in this season and now I’m gonna share some of my must do’s!

Starting off every fall season I recommend apple picking. My family and I go every year and the experience is great. Apple picking is a simple easy activity to partake in plus it’s not expensive which is always a plus. With the apples you can use them to make more fall recipes. Some of my favorites are apple pie, apple crisp and hot apple cider. Nothing beats putting on a fall outfit, picking some apples, taking some pictures of course and spending the day baking fall recipes.

Next, another fall must-do is going to a pumpkin patch. It always has such great scenery and trust me nothing beats being able to pick your pumpkin from an actual patch rather than the Walmart down the road. My personal favorite place to get pumpkin’s is Pumpkinville in Great Valley, New York, which only happens to be about 20 minutes away from St. Bonaventure. At this location they have a variety of pumpkins and gords to choose from along with tons of fall snacks. After picking out your pumpkin I always recommend carving or painting them, it’s a great way to spice it up a little bit.

When we think of fall we often associate it with the weather changing, the leaves’ color changing from green to all the shades of yellow and orange. Along with the gorgeous scenery you have that perfect weather that’s not too hot nor too cold, you might as well take advantage of it. Hiking is one of my favorite outdoor activities in fall, places like Allegany State Park, Rock City and even our own little river trail has never looked so pretty.

The last thing I’m gonna talk about is the Cider Mill. Living in Buffalo, New York it became a yearly thing where me and my family take a trip up to the Mayer Bros Cider Mill. Now going to school only an hour away from here I 10/10 encourage you to check it out. They serve hot cider but also apple cider slushies which are my personal favorite. They also serve fresh baked apple donuts, jellies, maple sugar candies and so much more. It never fails to disappoint plus gives the best fall vibes.

Fall is the last time we will see the grass and have the energy to leave our dorm rooms until april when the snow melts. Take some time to enjoy the weather, even chill out with a new fall playlist (which you can find in one of the articles posted from last week).
