These Boots are Made for Walking

Last weekend, I went home for four days of relaxation after a pretty stressful week. My best friend was home as well, so we planned on having a shopping day at Garden State Plaza, complete with one of our favorite lunch spots, Joe’s American Bar and Grill. As usual, my shopping got a little out of hand, and I left with a lot of bags, but not the one thing I went for: boots. (See Danielle's article to solve your shoe problems).

I am notoriously picky at everything, and can never find boots that suit my liking. But there is one pair of boots that I have had a love-from-afar relationship for many years now: Frye “Harness” boots. At $218, I’ve never taken purchasing the boots that seriously. Being that I’ve suffered through Syracuse winters for the last three years, a pair of snow boots and a few pairs of Uggs are typically enough to last me from November to April. But, ever since I left for a four-month stint in London last spring, intentionally without any pairs of Uggs in my over-packed suitcases, I’ve been rethinking my daily boot regimen. I’ve decided it’s time to change it up after spending nearly a third of my life in the sheepskin shoes. At least until the snow really starts.

By Friday night, they were on my feet to go out to dinner! Since then, I haven’t wanted to take them off, but was not going to risk wearing them with my Hippie costume to Friday night’s frat party. Tomorrow is going to be a crisp fall day in Syracuse, the perfect day to debut my new Fryes to class. Now, if I can only decide which of the new shirts to wear…
