New York Fashion Week S/S 13: William Okpo

The publicists behind William Okpo were smart to add Her Campus to the guest list. If I hadn’t known I was walking into a fashion show, I could have easily been in a room full of very stylish collegiettes.

Adorable frocks and breezy separates were done in a sea of blues, whites, and browns. Chambray and polka dots dominated the scene, while shiny oxfords and buttoned-up collars lent a campus-ready vibe.

You know that quirky girl who sits in the front row of your art history lecture? This is her collection. One particularly stand-out look featured a cropped sweater, topped with a polka dot vest and a drawstring chambray mini skirt. Polka dots also fleshed out a charming blouse and pants ensemble. At night, the William Okpo girl turns to a curve-hugging, color-blocked sheath in white and brown.

Okpo beauty is a no-brainer for those heinous 8 AM lectures: pile your messy hair in a high bun, slick on a coral lip, and go. Models dipped their buns in pale powder and covered their nails in crystals, but no pressure if that’s too avant garde for class.

Thoughts on William Okpo’s Spring 2013 collection? Which pieces would you wear?
