The Herve Leger collections have long been defined by the now-classic jacquard bandage or "power bandage" dresses, and the Fall/Winter 2013 collection held held true to form, this time including inventive bandage sweatpants and leggings. In an understated color palette including a rich bordeaux, alabaster, gunmetal, malachite, and of course black, the Azria design team behind the legendary Leger brand made looks perfect for cool winter nights. Dresses richly beaded and curve-hugging were paired with leather corsets and harnesses as well as hoodies with fur details. Makeup was a cool California girl look designed by makeup artist Val Garland, for the girl who goes from motorcycle to cocktail party.
The Fall/Winter 2013 designs were inspired by nature and the artwork of sculpture duo Les Lalanne, who blend nature and reality into their surrealist work. For the lady on the town who loves a splash of sparkle and a bold silhouette, Leger is a top choice.
