Cruising on Cobblestones with Kickboard Scooters!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WM chapter.

Trekking the campus is a fantastic way to enjoy the loveliness of Williamsburg– but it’s not the quickest way to get to class when you had an unexpected battle with your hair before leaving the dorm, or took too long trying to get an omelet at breakfast, or missed your phone alarm. The Execs of HerCampus William and Mary are now riding in style on our Kickboard scooters.

You probably rocked a razor scooter back in the days you also wore ringpops and crimped your hair. Well, these scooters are made for grown-ups like you and me and are a great way to get around campus– the smoother parts of it anyway! (Stay safe, kids, don’t try to jump the Sunken Garden stairs!) They’re portable and collapsible so you can keep them in your dorm room under your bed. The wheels are large and stable, and chances are you still remember how to ride one of these babies. They’re more compact and in most cases cheaper than a bike. They’re great for getting somewhere quickly– not to mention every single part is replaceable, so your ride will last longer! Kickboard has many different models for kids and adults (or at least adult-sized people like us)– we’re rocking the White Kick!

The Kickboard scooter is such a fun thing to have even if you don’t use it everyday. When friends come over to my room we have fun posing and taking pictures with it and riding it around outside (it’s a great conversation piece). It’s also portable and easy to store in a dorm closet as well as bring around campus. When I graduate in the spring I’ll definitely have to pass it down to one of my sorority sisters or friends who can have just as much fun with it as I am!

The Kickboard Scooter is a wonderful diversion from the stresses of college life. After class, my friends and I take turns scooting around. My sorority sisters have even made up some tricks. Warning: do not do tricks on brick sidewalks.

The Kickboard Scooter is fantastic because it helps me get to classes faster, which means I get an extra five minutes to stay snuggled up in bed. It has cut down the time it takes me to get from one class to another, so I can actually chat with my professor if I need to before dashing off. It motivates me to get out more since getting to whatever fun thing I’m doing is quicker than ever, and yeah, I do feel pretty boss breezing by in a dress and pink lipstick on a little white Kickboard.

We love our new scooters! They’re a really fantastic way to get about town (despite the sometimes uneven brick). Say hi next time you see us floating by on these little white scooters! If you want one for yourself, check out the Kickboard site and see their modelsThe White and Black Kicks are most highly recommended for campus cruisin’– both by us and Kickboard! Check them out on Facebook for more info.
