Now that it’s getting chilly outside, nothing sounds better than a bowl of popcorn, a warm drink, and, of course, a Halloween movie!  It’s perfectly acceptable to stay in and watch them all, but if you’re having trouble deciding which ones to turn on, I’m here to help. Here is my ranking of the best movies to watch this Halloween season.

13. Halloween

This is a classic horror film, and what could be more in the spirit of Halloween than a movie with the same name?

12. Double, Double, Toil and Trouble

Mary-Kate and Ashley are super cute in this Halloween adventure.

11. Beetle Juice

This classic movie is the perfect mix of both creepy and funny.

10. Sleepy Hollow

I love Johnny Depp in basically anything, but this a great and scary telling of the legend of the headless horseman.

9. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

This animation is a little lighter than that last one, but don’t worry, it’s just as good.

8. The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Just because I really want to do the time warp… again.

 7. Twitches

You have to love Tia and Tamara playing twin witches.

6. Casper Meets Wendy

Because Hillary Duff is in it, and that should be enough of a reason to watch it.

5. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Don’t be fooled by the title, there is plenty of Halloween is this movie.

4.  Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Witches, wizards, and the best looking Halloween feast ever! Plus, the Harry Potter cast is so young and adorable.

3. Hocus Pocus

Another Halloween classic, and it’s super fun seeing SJP dressed as an ugly witch.

2. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

I feel like I need to see this at least once every fall, and it takes me right back to my childhood.

And finally, the top movie you need to see this Halloween…

1. All the Halloweentowns! Halloween Town, Halloweentown High, and Return to Halloweentown.

Nothing says Halloween like these Disney Channel classics. Have a Halloweentown marathon and watch all three movies!

So cozy up, grab some Halloween candy, and get watching!
