5 Reasons We Love Her Campus Survival Kits

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

There are few things I love more than receiving a giant box full of free stuff. Am I right, or am I right? Her Campus killed the game with this year’s Survial Kits. From mini Luna Bars, to Chipotle gift cards, to underwear in tiny cupcake containers (yeah, you heard me), we are fully stocked and ready to take on midterms! In honor of this amazing collection of goodies (see pic below), here are five reasons why we are obsessed with our survival kit.

1. What’s better than a tasty Luna Bar, you ask? A MINI Luna Bar. Seriously, how cute are these little nuggets? They come in several flavors, including Chocolate Peppermint and Chocolate-Dipped Coconut. At only 90 calories, they’re the perfect snack to throw in your bag for an afternoon pick-me-up or just a sweet treat. Pick up a box of these babies at your local grocery store (they sell them at Schnucks).

2. Underwear is cuter when it’s disguised as a cupcake: Plainly stated, The Cupcake Panty by Affinitas is underwear that comes in a little cupcake-shaped box. If nothing else, the packaging should grab your attention. They are available in hipster or thong styles and come in a variety of colors and patterns. Click here to check out all the options!

3. Who doesn’t love Chipotle? As a part of this survival kit, we were given “buy one, get one free” gift cards that apply to burritos, tacos, salads, or bowls. Good thing I live a quick 3-minute walk from a Chipotle…

4. Shampoo samples are perfect for travel. Not only do samples allow us to try new products for free, but you can also throw them in your bag when you travel without having to worry about anything spilling. No one likes a bag full of suds.

5. They’re perfect for college students on a budget. Not only do these kits save us money at Chipotle (and that would be enough for us), but they also provided us with discounts for European Wax Center products, Aeropostale clothing and Tanda Zap Acne Spot Treatment Devices. It’s like coupon Christmas over here.
