6 Ways You Know Winter Is Coming To UNH

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

Whose excited to look at T-Hall covered in snow? Winter in New England can be brutal, but looking at our beautiful campus covered in white fluffy snow is worth suffering the unbearable cold. Here are 6 Way You Know Winter Is Coming To UNH:

1. You finally are able to pack away your fans until spring.

Remember move in day? It was about 90 degrees and all I can remember is dipping of sweat as I climbed up to the 8th floor because we weren’t allowed to use elevators during move in day. I remember lying in bed at night and having the fan about an inch away from my face, so I could stay cool at all times. Now, the fans are gone! It’s now absolutely freezing outside. I’m not sure if I like this or the fans better ?

2. Sweaters, sweaters, and More Sweaters !

Urban Outfitters, American Eagle, and so many more places are now your favorite places to shop because all you want to do is be warm and cute at the same time

3. You have to ask your mom to bring your winter coat up for you.

It’s SO cold. All I want is my winter coat so I don’t have to wear five layers of swearshirts to the library at night

4. When you bundle up in your hat gloves, and laters for the walk to class, then you get in the building and you start to sweat right away.

Horton is the worst building of all time. It is 90 degrees in that room even the winter. I’m not ready to have ten layers on and have to into a sauna-like academic building.

5. When you breathe in the morning outside and you can see your breath.

This is honestly one of the worst feelings ever. This means the temperature is very cold and I don’t think any of us are ready to be freezing everytime we walk outside.

6. All you want to do is go grab warm coffee or hot chocolate.

Dunks, Breaking New Grounds, Aromas, and The Works all have great hot drinks to keep us warm in the winter.

Get ready everyone because I hear this winter is going to be a crazy one!
