12 Struggles of Walking to Class in the Snow

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

There is nothing quite like New England in the winter with its glittering snow-covered landscapes and brisk winds.  However, no matter how beautiful it may be, it’s no secret that walking to class in the snow is a real b*tch…and here are 11 struggles that prove it.

1. Having to wear 650 layers just to survive.

2. Slipping on ice while walking to class, or home from the bars, or any other time.

3. Wearing a hat and getting terrible hat hair.

4. Not wearing a hat and your hair actually freezes.

5. Your face being so cold it hurts.

6. When the snow causes your makeup to run so bad that it looks like you just came out of a car wash.

7. When you step into a snowy puddle and get mud all over your pants.

8. When your pants/backpack/everything else on your person gets soaking wet from the snow.

10. When you can’t see because of the blinding white landscape and falling snowflakes in your eyes.

11. When you can’t use your phone while outside without risking your hands to frostbite.

12. When you finally dry off and have to walk outside and do it all over again.

The struggle is real.
