Let’s be honest. I’m ballin’ on a budget.

Give me one college gal who isn’t — I dare you. And if you find her, let me know what her secret is.

But despite my shallow pockets, I’m not willing to sacrifice stocking up on beauty products. My one-stop shop (without painful, luxury brand prices): Walgreens. They’re EVERYWHERE and have everything I’ve ever needed. So when HC reached out to me and asked if I’d be willing to test out some of the beauty products Walgreens sports, I was thrilled — I’ve been doing this on my own for years!

About a week ago, I received my Walgreens gift card in the mail.

I’m actually livin’ it up in NYC this summer for my internship, and luckily, one of the first things I did when I arrived to the Big Apple was scout out a Walgreens (for the record, I found one half-a-mile away from my dorm and frequent the candy isle … often).

I bustled on over to my local Walgreens upon receiving my gift and plucked three items off the shelves from the list Glam Media provided us with: Essie’s Sand Tropez nail polish, Colgate Optic White toothpaste and the Colgate Optic White toothbrush.

I’m absolutely obsessed with the nude color pallet right now whether it’s nail polish, pumps or blouses. Essie’s Sand Tropez shade (so punny, as usual!) promised just the nude shade I love — and it delivered.

The hue is professional enough for my internship but chic enough to rock on weekends on the town. Obsessed.

I opted for the Colgate whitening products because I’m always testing out whitening products — from strips to gels to mouthwashes — I’ve tried a whole slew o’ them. Colgate Optic White promises to whiten teeth in about a week as it has the same products as strips but gentler (perfect for my sensitive teeth!).

When I swapped my usual handheld brush for the Colgate Optic White one, I immediately felt a difference.
The brush is equipped with soft, rubber cups to hold toothpaste which left my smile feeling squeeky clean (and my skirt toothpaste-free!)

Though I’ve only been using the Colgate Optic White products for a week, I’m already noticing a brighter smile! I’m definitely going to continue using them (and I won’t have to break my bank, either).
