Jesse McCartney is Coming to UCF & I Have All The Feels

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

Picture this: it’s 2005 you just finished riding bikes with your friends and you went home to watch the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. You have your chocolate chip Gripz and a Flashin’ Fruit Punch Hi-C. Everything is in place for you to lose yourself in Jesse’s swoon-worthy eyes and pre-Bieber hair. You lose it when your #1 fave Jesse McCartney wins Favorite Male Singer. You are going to sing “Beautiful Soul” all day at school tomorrow and will probably dance to it at your wedding. It’s THAT good.

Because you live and breathe I am going to assume you also spent the past decade pining after Jesse. Your childhood fave has been a little less present on the music scene lately. If you watched all the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies just to get your fix I won’t judge. McCartney is back and better than ever with a new song called “Better With You.” The song and accompanying music video echo the sweet sound we all remember from his previous hits. The video features McCartney and actress Danielle Campbell falling in love after a chance encounter, only to end with a random guy swooping in to take McCartney’s place. Guess she just decided she could settle for just another pretty face. In spite of the less than romantic ending of the video the lyrics still tell a cute story of improving yourself in spite of hardship as you fall in love with the right person.

You can finally make all your elementary school dreams come true and see Jesse McCartney live in concert. UCF’s Campus Activities Board is putting on the concert on Thursday, April 5, at 7 PM as part of UCFestival at CFE Arena. The concert looks like it has a great lineup with the singer gnash and the band COIN scheduled to open the show. Just so you know, the concert is free if you attend UCF!

Let’s just say this concert will be Better With You and Your Beautiful Soul.
