Get Ready For Finals With SGA

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

As finals week approaches, all of us here at UCF are beginning to load up on energy drinks and junk food. Before you begin spending countless hours in the library, make sure your mind is ready to be filled with information.  This year, SGA is hosting The Knight Before Finals on Monday, December 3rd from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Students are invited to join the UCF Counseling Center at the Reflection Pond and Flame of Hope as they guide students through the yoga breathing technique of “Prayanama.”

Following your yoga session, head into the library for Kram for the Exam: Finals Edition. The library will be open until 3:00 a.m., giving you plenty of time to study for your first final. Bring your UCF ID to grab some free food, t-shirts, and study supplies.

On Tuesday, December 4th, SGA will host three different Stress Free Zones. These zones were designed by SGA to provide students with a place to relax and unwind in the midst of studying for exams. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., head to the Gaming Hub in Technology Commons for free access to Sony gaming systems and games provided by Game Stop. After visiting the Gaming Hub, stop by the Relaxation Spa in Student Union 223. Free massages will be provided from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.. And if you didn’t get enough gaming in before, head to Student Union 221; four Xbox 360s will be available from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Before you lose yourself in textbooks and PowerPoint slides, head to one of SGA’s events to wind down before finals. They are a great way to escape and just a short walk from where you’ll be studying!
