With the end of the school year just around the corner, I’d like to be spending all my free time dreaming of sunny beach days and balmy summer nights. Instead, it feels like my mind’s been pretty preoccupied worrying about that one little thing standing in between me and 3 months of rest and relaxation: finals. If this last week of school has got you feeling stressed as well, put down the study guide you’ve been slaving over and take a moment for yourself. In fact, take ten. My top ten tips for dealing with stress:

1. Breathe.
2. Schedule play time every day.
3. Exercise.
4. Strive for excellence, not perfection.
5. Smile more.
6. Avoid negative people.
7. Get enough sleep.
8. Ask for help if you need it.
9. Do it today.
10. Believe in yourself!

And when all else fails, indulging in a little extracurricular reading never hurts.
