Name: Matt Bryant
Year: Senior
Major(s): Music Technology
Hometown: Winfield, AL
Aspirations?
I would love to be a music composer for television and film. More
specifically, I think composing music for cartoons would be the best
job ever.
Hobbies?
Even though my major is music, it is also my hobby. My primary
instrument at UAB is percussion, but I also play guitar in my band,
American Freshman. I love going to local shows and playing them as
well. I also enjoy composing conceptual music, or music based on a
specific theme or idea.
What’s your “type”?
Having a sense of witty humor and listen to music outside of top 40 is
a must. If she seems like she could be in a quirky indie film, then
she would be my type.
Dream date?
Have dinner, go to a show and then maybe make music together after the show.
Biggest turn ons and offs?
Turn ons: musicality, quirkiness, girls in flannel
Turn offs: multiple piercing(s), excessive makeup, “valley girl”
What makes girls sexy to you?
First off, their anatomy. Curves are just appealing to the eye.
Second, their sensuality. Not only is their personality sensual, but
they have soft and smooth skin. Third, pheromones.
Have you ever written a song for a girl?
I’ve written songs about girls and relationships but never for a girl, yet.
What should a girl do to get your attention?
I feel like winking has gone out of style, so winking would be a good
start. Other than that, just smile and be down to Earth.
Do you make the first move?
Most girls expect the guy to make the first move, so yes I try to make
the first move. If she has the confidence to make the first move, then
that’s a plus.
Favorite pick up line?
I like to incorporate the beard into the situation so a goto line is,
“Do you like teddy bears? Then you’ll love my beard!”
