5 Stages of Online Shopping

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

Budgeting your money in college can be tough, but who doesn’t love a little online shopping? TREAT YO SELF.

1. Denial:

I can totally afford to buy $30 lipstick I don’t need.  This is a great idea that has no flaws and I will never regret this decision.

2. Anger:

WHY IS EVERYTHING SO EXPENSIVE AND WHY DID I HAVE TO SPEND $250 ON TEXTBOOKS INSTEAD OF CUTE CLOTHES?!

3. Bargaining:

You know… If I buy this but skip getting coffee and Chipotle for a couple weeks… it all sort of evens out in the end… Plus I’ll use this, like, everyday.

4. Depression:

This number in my bank account seems awfully low time to cry about it.

5. Acceptance:

You know, now that this package came and I can put this lipstick on, it’s totally worth it. Who even cares about money anyways?!
