One Tree Hill’s 5 Most Inspirational Quotes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. John's chapter.

At the beginning of the semester, I was lost, a college student with a Netflix void to fill. And then, one day, I discovered One Tree Hill, and my life was forever changed for the better. As an self-proclaimed addict of One Tree Hill and a lover of profound quotations, I have compiled a list of One Tree Hill’s most inspiring quotes for you all, hoping to both inspire you as finals draw near and promote my favorite show on the planet.

Sit back, relax, and be inspired.

1.

Or 18, or 19, or 20, or beyond. Bottom line is, start living your life. Stop waiting for “tomorrow” or “when the semester ends” or “next year” or “after I graduate.” Enjoy today and all of the victories and happiness that today brings. Start living in the moment, and stop waiting for the next increment in time. Be present today, be present now.

2.

My dad always used to quote the George Harrison when I was young, saying, “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take youthere.” And this quote reminds me of that. Setbacks and tragedies happen, and sometimes it seems like nothing’s ever going right- whether it be family problems, a terrible professor, a failed exam, or a wrotten relationship. But, at our weakest, we have the ability to stand up our strongest. Right on, OTH.

3.

For you hopeless romantics and heartbroken, or for those of you who are wary of taking the risk, listen to Brooke on this one. Love is so worth it- no matter the risk or hestitations. True love in this world is so rare, so if you have it or think you have it, hold onto it, and take the plunge.

4.

Nathan Scott. That is all.

5.

You’re stronger than you think, and I know that’s one of those cliche lines that no one cares to hear. But, OTH means it. I mean it. Your inner strength has gotten you this far, and it will take you through all that is to come. Rely on your strength- it hasn’t failed you thus far.

As my experience with OTH comes to a close (Season 8 sadness, everyone), I will carry these quotes with me. As funny as it sounds (and maybe pathetic), this show has really made an impact on me, as well as the life lessons and emotions that have come with it.

As the show comes to a close, from one self-proclaimed OTH addict to you all, I find myself saying…

One Tree Hill, thanks for the memories.
