Did you know that any college student can apply to the Disney College Program? Well, our next Campus Cutie did exactly that, and got to spend this last fall semester in Orlando, Florida at Disney World.
Greg Ginsberg came to SSU in the Fall of 2008 from Sacramento, CA (where he was raised, he was actually born in Visalia, CA), and since then he has been a part of Alpha Psi Fraternity, the Pre-Law Society and Sigma Alpha Lambda.
Then in the Spring of 2011 Ginsberg decided that he would apply for the Disney World College Program. “I have always loved Disney, and I knew this would be a great experience,” shortly after he applied, he interviewed and finally it was confirmed that he got the internship.
So, in Fall of 2011 he flew to Orlando Florida to start his new internship. Not only was he working 40 hours a week, he also took classes while he was there.
“I took two classes one that was History of Disney from the start to the building of Epcot,” said Ginsberg. “The other was Marketing U”.
Ginsberg always wanted to be the guy who gave the tours on the Jungle Cruise, unfortunately he was hired as the custodian (kind of like the school genitor, but way cooler), which was not his first choice. He did end up coming to like his job and found that he learned some cool things like “Water Art.”
It wasn’t always magical, as Ginsberg recalls his worst day at work. “I got a BBP (Blood Born Pathogen) call and that they needed me to clean it up, and so it took me an hour to clean it all up with help”.
