In our busy lives, it can be hard to always stay healthy. On busy days all you have time to grab is that piece of toast (sometimes with avocado, sometimes with peanut butter, sometimes just plain) and head out the door. But Kaeng Raeng is making it easier for you to get your fill of everything you need. Kaeng Raeng’s  “daily green energy” is a drink that is packed with over 11 fruits and vegetables. The powder is an all-natural, vegan, gluten-free, caffeine-free, and soy-free detox that is designed to cleanse the body as well as jumpstart weight loss and lead to a healthier lifestyle.

When you order your daily green energy, it comes in individual packets, which are pre-measured for you, as well as a blender bottle so you don’t have to dirty a single piece of kitchenware.

This all sounds great, but let’s be honest, taste is everything. I decided each day I would make the shake different to see which method tasted best. Here’s how it all went down:

Day 1: The first day I tried the shake I decided to mix it with almond milk. The blender bottle worked great and only took a few shakes for the powder to be completely dissolved (I was pretty impressed).  I am not going to lie though, the shake was not as tasty as I expected. I could really taste the fruit and vegetables, and it had a very vitamin-like taste.  After guzzling down the shake for breakfast, I went about my day, and  did notice I felt really good and energized. Is this a placebo affect? Maybe. Either way, I looked forward to having it for breakfast for the next couple of days.

Day 2: The second day I decided to simply mix the shake with cold water.  To my surprise, it was better than the almond milk! The cold water masked the taste a bit better and made the consistency thinner. Again, my energy was at a great level after having the drink for breakfast, and it held me over until lunch four hours later, which is surprising as it only has 95 calories.

Day 3: I decided to ditch the blender bottle (despite my love for it) and break out a real blender. I mixed the powder with almond milk and a blend of frozen strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, which I picked up from Trader Joes. Lo and behold, I found the magic remedy. The shake tasted AMAZING!! The fruits really masked the vitamin-like taste and added some much needed sweetness.

Day 4: This last day I decided to change it up a little bit more. I used the same recipe as yesterday, but this time put only a little bit of almond milk. This left the consistency pretty thick, so I poured it into a bowl, mixed it with oatmeal and ate it with a spoon. Again, AMAZING. It felt like I was eating an acai bowl, but with a lot more nutrients.

All and all, I love this shake, and will definitely be purchasing more of it. It tastes great, makes you feel great, and really does cleanse the body (if you know what I mean). If you want to try it too, click here. Not fully committed? You can try it out for just $6. Bonus: shipping is always free.
