Tis the Season

October first! Was it just me or did September seem to fly by! Now we are on to my favorite time of year. No, I’m not only excited for the pumpkin spice lattes, which as a matter of fact aren’t my favorite seasonal coffee drink.

We have so many things to look forward to: the leaves changing colors, finally being able to sleep in your dorm without sweating to death, finally being able to wear comfy leggings, flannels, and vests, the list goes on and on.

Break those Hunter, Bean, and riding boots out ladies. You will probably never see my walking around campus in the morning without a Starbucks or Dunkin’ cup glued to my hand, thank you morning practice and crisp Autumn mornings. The world seems to transform into a cinnamon smelling, red, orange, and yellow explosion.

Not only do we have these little things to look forward to, my favorite holiday season is upon us. College kids have already been planning their Halloween costumes since March. Time seems to go at the speed of light and then all of sudden we’re at Thanksgiving, stuffing our faces with one of our first home cooked meals in a long time. Just a couple short weeks and then we’re at Christmas and New Years, my absolute favorite holidays.

Us Bonas students have the start of basketball season to look forward to, the first snowfall on our gorgeous campus, and doing festive activities like carving pumpkins or making Christmas cookies.

So tis the season Bonaventure, our favorite time of year before we get locked into the frozen Tundra of January and February! Crack open the apple cider, break open the pumpkin spice EVERYTHING, and enjoy the most wonderful time of year.

I'm a Junior Strategic Communications major at Saint Bonaventure University, also known as the greatest place on earth. Hobbies include eating ridiculous amounts of food, watching Scandal and swimming. I'm probably wearing converse.
