Ever since I visited Sacred Heart University, I knew that this was the school I wanted to go to. Between the friendly community, beautiful campus and amazing programs- I was hopeful to one day be a Pioneer. Once I got to Sacred Heart as a freshman, those thoughts did not change. I was still in love with this school. Because of my love for the school, I wanted to be part of something that would help me embrace that. When I found out about the Student Ambassador program, I knew it was something I had to be apart of.
Ever since joining Student Ambassadors, I have gained an even bigger appreciation for this beautiful school. I have met great people, people who I learn from, who help me grow, and who I can call my friends. This program has had such a large positive impact on my life and I would not trade this experience for anything. It’s not just giving tours, it’s about being able to be a part of something bigger than yourself. It’s helping to grow a community.
This program has had a very positive impact on my life, and my experience here at Sacred Heart. One big thing the program has developed is my confidence. I was always an outgoing and loud person, but I was always insecure of showing that side of myself to new people. With this group, you are encouraged to be outgoing and loud, and almost everyone in the program is both of those things. This has helped me come to terms with my extroverted side, and be more comfortable showing it around people I do not know. It has also helped me gain more confidence with public speaking. Many people struggle with public speaking and giving tours to groups of families at a time has helped me get better with being able to speak to larger groups.
The biggest impact this program has had on me is the sense of community I have received. Everyone wants to be a part of something and I was able to gain that within Student Ambassadors. I have learned something from all of those I work with and have been able to grow with them. I have gained a family from my fellow ambassadors and I’m am very happy that I joined.
I highly encourage anyone that shares the same love for our beautiful school as I do to apply and join our wonderful family!
