Brooke Radley

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oswego chapter.

Brooke Radley is one of the catchers for the Oswego State softball team. After beginning when she was five years old, Brooke has loved the sport and couldn’t imagine being without it. “I watched my dad play slow pitch and liked it, so he created little league for softball in my town and he was my coach.”

Before joining the Oswego State team, Brooke played two years of softball at Tompkins Cortland Community College. “I was fortunate enough to be recruited and presented with the opportunity to continue my athletic career, I loved the game too much to stop playing,” she says.

After graduating from community college, the senior psychology major wanted to stay closer to home, which is why she chose to come to Oswego, roughly a half hour from her hometown.

Balancing athletics and academics is difficult at times, but the players do their work when they have the time.

Like most college students, Brooke likes to sleep in her spare time. She also tires to go home when the softball players get the time off. After college, she would like to coach a modified softball team and find a full-time job.

I'm a junior. I like to read, watch T.V. and sleep. Aaaand that's it.
