Your alarm goes off, and you hit the snooze button for what you think is the first time. However, after rubbing your blurry eyes and looking at the time, you realize that you’ve slept through your first, second and third alarms, and now you only have 15 minutes to get to class!

But don’t panic, collegiettes™! HCUO brings you a quick morning routine to ensure that you can roll out of bed and still look gorgeous without sacrificing any of your precious time.

1. Splash cold water on your face. This will help tighten up your pores and make your complexion appear brighter. It will also help wake you up, which is great if you’re exhausted from pulling an all-nighter, or partying too hard during the week!

2. Use a tinted moisturizer. You don’t have time to fuss with different powders and creams, so opt for a tinted moisturizer that acts as a face lotion and a sheer layer of foundation all in one. Cosmopolitan Magazine suggests a moisturizer with SPF in it for extra benefits, like Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Enhancer ($11.99 at drugstores).

3. Put on some blush. A quick sweep over the apples of your cheeks should do the trick. Your rosy-cheeked appearance will make you look alive, but don’t overdo it, or else risk looking like a clown in class.

4. Curl your eyelashes. A quick curl adds brightness and size to your eyes. Look attentive and alert in a few seconds!

5. Use Chapstick. This miracle tool prevents flaky lips and surrounds your smile with a nice shine.

Voila! You may not be wide-awake at this moment, but at least you’ll look your best. Good luck getting to class on time!

A University of Oregon junior and San Francisco native, Charmaine Ng loves authentic noodle dishes and will always opt for Asian and Italian cuisine when pressed to choose a restaurant. She is a self-proclaimed "noodler," someone who uses her noodle to collaborate with others and bring big ideas to life. She interns for a student-run full-service ad agency, blogs for a wedding and event planning company, and runs the UO Muggle Quidditch League. In her spare time, she sleeps, and sleeps, and sleeps - and dabbles in social media and blogging, her two biggest passions. Her quirkiness isn't apparent at first, but then she starts talking about packaging design and making funny faces, and you wonder what happened to that shy Asian girl you first met. With ambition bursting beyond the campus walls, Charmaine can't wait to graduate and work for an agency, company, or publication in community outreach efforts using social media.
