As we get closer to Dead Week and Finals Week, the desperation and laziness of the term gets worse and worse. Midterms are difficult, homework is piling up on you, and you forgot your raincoat. Basically, it’s been rough. You deserve to give yourself a treat.

Try some of these easy desserts you can heat up in your microwave in a mug, using only a few basic ingredients, to treat yourself!

(Click on the pictures for the recipes)

1. Mug Brownie

This recipe is one of my personal favorites because I normally have all the ingredients for it in my cupboard and it takes about 3 minutes tops to make altogether.

2. Snickerdoodle Mug Cake

I’ve never made this one myself,  but there’s something about a snickerdoodle cookie that just makes me think of winter break and no responsibilities. Memories of being cozy and tucked in at home spring up at the smell of these. The best part? It doesn’t take very many ingredients and can be made in around three minutes or less.

3. Vanilla Mug Cake

If you’re just not a huge chocolate fan, or need something just a little bit different, then this recipe is just right for you. It is the perfect palette refresher for all your other not-so-healthy food choices.

4. Lemon Cake

To be honest, I’d never really considered anything but a chocolate mug cake before, but I kind of love the idea of this recipe, and having a fun and zesty dessert to finish off a day.

5. Chocolate Espresso Mug Cake

This dessert sounds like the perfect way to start off your day. It’s your energy pick up and sweet breakfast treat all in one. The perfect treat for your slow walk to that 9am class.
