Admission

Comedy queen Tina Fey plays Portia, a straight-laced Princeton admissions officer. Paul Rudd is John, the freewheeling principal of an unconventional high school. Their characters couldn’t be more different, so when the two get together, chaos ensues—in a good way. John introduces her to a gifted student, Jeremiah, who just may be the son she gave up for adoption. There’s sure to be some great one-liners, but Admission is more than just a simple comedy as Portia has to discover how far she’s willing to bend the rules for Jeremiah’s future and her own.

The Host

Based on Stephanie Meyer’s best-seller, The Host is set in a future world where aliens control Earth, inserting themselves into human bodies. Though, a small group of humans continues to resist, including Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan). After being captured, her brain is taken over by the alien form Wanderer. But unlike other aliens, she allows Melanie to maintain her memories, helping her return to the humans’ hideout and reunite with her love Jared (Max Irons). Even better than being an action-thriller, The Host is about the battle for love to survive in a world not yet lost.

Scary Movie 5

It’s been seven years since the last Scary Movie film graced theaters. Now, it’s back for a fifth go with some old and new faces alike. Life for married couple Dan and Jody (Simon Rex and Ashley Tisdale) is turned upside down when a pesky demon starts threatening their home and work. As usual, the movie pulls gags from the horror genre as well as some modern thrillers—this time Paranormal Activity, Black Swan and Inception to name a few. Longtime fans of the spoof series will be delighted by the raunchy humor and ridiculous situations these characters uncover in Scary Movie 5.

The Big Wedding

This star-studded comedy definitely puts a new spin on the classic wedding movie. Long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton) must pretend to be married for a weekend when their adopted son’s biological mother, an extremely devout Catholic, decides to fly in for his wedding. Needless to say, a slew of antics ensues as the family tries to maintain the charade. Did I mention the oh-so-adorable Ben Barnes plays the son? Just another plus of The Big Wedding, which also includes fan favorites Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried and Robin Williams.

Iron Man 3

What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with a Robert Downey Jr. fix? In Iron Man 3, billionaire superhero Tony Stark faces off against a superhuman terrorist called The Mandarin, a skilled scientist and martial artist. More so than past villains, The Mandarin’s path of destruction forces Tony to question his abilities beyond the suit. Although Iron Man 3 is sure to offer some great action sequences, the movie will dig deeper into Tony’s psyche, forcing him to rely on his own devices to protect the people and the world he loves.
