This summer, I had the opportunity to intern in Human Resources of the Schwebel Baking Company (for those who aren’t from Ohio, it’s a very popular bread company). The dress code was business casual, with some handbook rules that I may or may not have followed to the T. I was the youngest employee working in their offices, so I thought it was nice to show off my age with statement pieces and flirty outfits while being office appropriate. This is my compilation of several OOTDs brought to you by Snapchat filters and mirror pics.

A few pieces to get you started

Black dress- comfortable and casual

Black flats- they go with almost anything

Nude flats- they work well with the no brown/black/navy mixing rule

Black pants- back to basics

Navy pants- they go with more than you think

Kimonos and/or cardigans- so you can mix and match

Comfy, casual, and classy

These pants made it feel like I was going to work in pajamas! I paired them with a sheer top and some black jewelry to complete the look.

A patterned top with my glasses gave a young professional look that I mastered this summer.

I just had to buy another pair of the pajama-feeling pants, but this time I brightened them up with a blue blouse!

Tired Tuesdays

Using my casual black dress, I switched cardigans and jewelry to create several pieces!

I washed my hair on Mondays and Wednesdays, so Tuesdays and Thursdays consisted of a half-up/half-down or a fun bun.

Kimonos became my best friend, because they’re so easily paired and versatile.

Thank Goodness it’s Thursday

This peplum top has a lace back, so it made me feel flirty and fun! Plus, I love wearing all black with accents.

Have fun with colors! My bright pink dress from sorority recruitment paired with a kimono was a hit (but my hair, not so much that day :/).

Here’s that kimono again paired with a sheer black tank and gold sparkle flats. (They’re my favorite)!

Skirty and Flirty

All right, so this is a dress, but I got sooo many compliments wearing a bright Kelly green in the office!

I found a love of chambray shirts and skirts! These days were easy to tackle with a high bun and skirt-flouncing fun.

I had a lot of fun creating these outfits and can’t wait to wear them in the future. Do you have some great intern outfits? Show us on Twitter and Instagram @HerCampusOhioU!
