What is Ginger and Honey?

Ginger and Honey (named after my red hair and love for all things sweet) is a fashion and lifestyle blog created by me. I aim to inspire other females with my own style quirks, beauty tricks, and travel tips. Overall, I want to share a message of self-love. It is okay to embrace yourself and do little (or big) things to make yourself happy every single day. That could range from treating yourself to a new restaurant or wearing that piece of clothing you’ve had your eyes on.

Who are some of your fashion inspirations?

I look up to a lot of other bloggers including Lisa Prang (local girl!), Molly Purdue, and Maddy Corbin. They each showcase their own style that is totally relatable for the average girl and I am inspired by their creativity.

What are your aspirations as far as the fashion business goes?

In the future, I hope to see myself in marketing or merchandising. I love designer brands, but also want to be part of a company that gives back to their community.

What is the hardest part about maintaining a blog?

Maintaining a blog is way harder than I ever imagined when I first launched. The “blogosphere” is SO populated that I often struggle to come up with unique and original content. At the end of the day, I try to showcase myself, what I’m wearing, and how I’m doing it. It’s very casual and I like to think that it’s relatable to my audience.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style could be described as bohemian-chic. I’m a sucker for a floral kimono and girly dresses. Lately, I’ve been loving bootie heels and a nice black belt!
