Thank you to everyone who helped my freshman year of college not be so shitty. Thank you Carrie, Tessa, Bethany, Sin, Vin, Max, Shanet, Bee, Kellie, Hannah, and so many others for making my freshman year bearable.

Thank you Carrie for being my very first roommate and making it an easy time for me. Thank you for being a great friend to me and for dealing with my night habits. Thank you for changing my perspective of having a roommate and for the good experience.

Thank you Tessa for being there for me to rant about life. Thank you for understanding what I go through. Thank you for letting me get to know you like no one else has. Thank you for opening up to me. Thank you for being my friend and making sure I was okay.

Thank you Bethany for being with me behind the library that day; it really changed my life. Thank you for showing me a new perspective on life and what it means. Thank you for going on late night walks with me to explore the town together at a time where everyone but us was asleep.

Thank you Sin for being my second roommate. Thank you for the laughs we shared at night wile we were trying to sleep but couldn’t. Thank you for putting up with my late-night habits. Thank you for being the best roommate I could’ve ever had. Thank you for showing me different parts of life that were hard to understand.

Thank you Vin for being my first friend at MCLA. Thank you for the laughs that we always shared at the café. Thank you for the deep talks that are rare, but I am glad they happen. Thank you for showing me different parts of life that I didn’t quite get, but you helped me understand. Thank you for being you because that’s the best you.

Thank you Max for all the laughs we had together. Thank you for understanding the struggle of that 2-and-a-half-hour drive to MCLA. Thank you for slapping me in the face with reality. Thank you for showing me a side of life I was scared to encounter and staying with me through the whole thing.

Thank you Shanet for letting me be your friend. Thank you for showing me a different side of you at 4 in the morning. Thank you for being up at that time so I have someone to talk to. Thank you for making me laugh on days where it was hard to even crack a smile. Thank you for being there through some of the hard times in my life.

Thank you Bee for finally being friends with me after months of trying. Thank you for having similar interests to me so I didn’t feel alone. Thank you for being there for me when no one else was. Thank you for showing me what it was like when things didn’t go right and how to deal with them.

Thank you Kellie for being there for me. Thank you for letting me talk about whatever and not judging me. Thank you for making sure I was okay and asking me when you knew I wasn’t. Thank you for asking me how I am after talking about it the day before just to make sure I was in a better state.

Thank you Hannah for being one of the weirdest people I’ve ever met. Thank you for being there that day at the hospital. Thank you for making sociology bearable. Thank you for letting me talk through my problems in the weirdest way even though it was effective. Thank you for letting me be friends with you even after that terrible thing happened.

Thank you to everyone, mentioned or not, for being apart of my life, for showing me the way to life, and that I don’t need to be alone to do it.
