The 15 Emotional Stages of Taking a Final

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

1. Oh my god. Why is this professor talking about the final already? It’s syllabus week. YOLO.

2. HE SAID THE TEST WAS CUMULATIVE DURING SYLLABUS WEEK? I’M SO DONE.

3. Why wasn’t I taking better notes? What was I doing with my time? I hate myself.

4. It’s ok. I still have all my books. I just haven’t read them yet.

5. Skim, skim, skim, kinda read, skim.

6. People seem to be forming study groups. Maybe I should work with that annoying girl who always knows the answers. She’s probably not that bad outside of class.

7. Just kidding, she’s that bad outside of class. I’m out.

8. Must pull all nighter for test tomorrow. Must not fall asleep.

9. Oh no, I fell asleep.

10. It’s okay. I have coffee. Coffee is my friend.

11. I got this. I totally got this. I am confident. I woke up like this.

12. What are these words? Dear god, what are these words?

13. Oh wait, I know this. I kinda know this. I may have this.

14. I’m out! That wasn’t that bad. I think I did well.

15. I’m never doing that to myself again. I need wine stat.
