“When I came into college, I was super shy and not very proactive. I was very good at letting other people do the work for me. But when I studied abroad, because I didn’t have my family or a whole lot of my friends, I had to learn to be more proactive and more outgoing to make friends. I had to be my own advocate and find opportunities and go after them. After coming back, I feel like I’m better at putting effort into my life to get the job done.”
