ALEXA JOHNSON is a sophomore from Allentown, New Jersey.  She is studying Media Arts & Design with a concentration in Corporate Communication and minoring in both Creative Writing and Anthropology.  She works for the Office of Residence Life as a Program Adviser, helping Resident Advisers and Hall Directors plan events and maintaining the First Year Involvement arts and crafts center.  She is also the Publicity chair of her sorority, Alpha Sigma Tau.  You can almost always find her keeping up with the Kardashians, stalking Forever21.com, or working on her fitness to the latest techno at UREC.  Alexa aspires to one day run a marathon (maybe) and work as the editor-in-chief at any leading fashion magazine in New York City.

CHANTAL JOHNSON is a sophomore Media Arts and Design Major with a minor in Creative Writing.  Chantal is extremely school spirited and loves giving back to both the JMU and Harrisonburg communities.  She loves reading a good book, hanging out with her friends, and is obsessed with the NFL (Go Redskins!). One day, she hopes to travel and explore the many wonders of the world; but as of now, she's just enjoying life as a proud JMU student!

KELLY FORD is currently a freshman and applying to SMAD. She does many things for Her Campus JMU but most importantly, she is their first ever vlogger! She loves everything related to makeup, beauty, and fashion - especially watching and making videos on YouTube's "How To/Style" pages.  She also enjoys interior design, poetry, cooking, singing, concerts, and going on road trips. Kelly's dream job is to one day work for NYLON magazine or to go into advertising. She loves hanging out with her friends and is enjoying every minute here at JMU.

ALICIA INKROTE is a freshman, double majoring in SMAD and Hospitality Management.  She is a complete grammar nerd, loves singing, creating videos, and writing stories, and spends much of her free time looking up pointless YouTube videos.  After college, she hopes to move to Boston for graduate school.

ALLIE SMITH is a junior majoring in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication with a minor in Communications.  As a new member of, she could not be more excited about writing for Her Campus JMU!  Some of her favorite hobbies include working out, shopping, scoping fashion blogs, and spending time with friends and family. After college, her dream is to move to New York City and work as a writer for a major fashion magazine company.

ANJERIKA WILMER is a senior pursuing a degree in Art History and SMAD with a concentration in Journalism. Over the summer, she spent five weeks abroad in Vienna, Austria in search of “the Good.”  Anjerika hopes to see more of the world now, specifically Paris and London.  Obsessed with all things girly and feminine, nothing makes her happier than classic cardigans, pleated skirts and oxford shoes!  A full-fledged fashionista, Anjerika dedicates her spare time to reading fashion magazines, studying runway, blogging and swooning over Olivia Palermo’s impeccable style. As for the future, she plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in fashion journalism. Moleskine journal in hand, Anjerika is ready to take the fashion world by storm!

BRITTANY KINSELLA is a junior Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication Major, with a Criminal Justice Minor. She was born and raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey where she spends most of her time at the beach with her family and friends. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, where she is currently the Alumnae Relations Liaison.  She is very excited for what the upcoming year with Her Campus will bring!

DESIRAE STEVENS is a senior Media Arts & Design major with a concentration in journalism and a minor in Sport Communication.  She is from Rochester, NY but is in love with New York City!  Other than Her Campus, Desirae works in the video department for the JMU's newspaper, The Breeze, is a student media assistant in the Office of Career and Academic Planning on campus, and is a member of the Eta Delta chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma sorority.  She is obsessed with the E! Network, fashion and gossip blogs, as well as everything social media.  After graduation she’d like to get a job in NYC at a media company and eventually move to LA to work for E! News!

HEATHER BUTTERWORTH is a sophomore majoring in Media Arts and Design and minoring in Creative Writing. She is involved in a number of community service initiatives around campus, and is a member of the Sigma Alpha Lambda honor society. She is proud to be a JMU Duke and wants to make a positive impact on the world through paying it forward. She enjoys writing and photography, as well as playing with her puppy and jumping in puddles. Her dream job is to work for a major magazine as a features editor.

IRENE LAINIOTIS is a junior double majoring in Biology and Public Policy and Administration. She is originally from Massapequa, New York. She is an active member in her sorority, Alpha Phi. She loves sporting events and you can be sure to find her cheering on the Dukes at all the games. Her favorite things include One Tree Hill, mint chocolate chip ice cream, Taco Bell, and 80s rock. Irene is looking into getting a career in public health or the healthcare industry after graduation. She is really excited to be a part of the Her Campus team at JMU!

JAMIE-LYNNE JOYCE is a junior majoring in IdLS, with a concentration in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language.  She was born and raised in Long Island, New York and can not wait to move back and teach there after graduating. In her free time, she loves surfing the Internet for fashion ideas, writing her blog, reading books and catching up on TV. On campus, Jamie is involved in Student Ambassadors, Alpha Phi Omega and works in the office of Community-Service Learning.  She loves meeting new people, so if you see her on campus make sure you say hi!

JEN PARAVANNI is a Media Arts & Design major with minors in Sociology and Theatre.  When not living in the 'Burg she shares her Westchester County, New York home with two giant dogs, her parents and her little brother. She is a sister of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority and is super excited to be part of the Her Campus JMU team!  Jen has no idea what she wants to do in life, but she continues to dream big.  Her obsessions include - but are not at all limited to - online shopping, wedding TV shows, cardigans, classic rock, blogging, and crafting.

JOHANNAH MILLER is a freshman who is planning to major in Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Journalism and Business Marketing. After growing up in Northern Virginia, Jo now wants to live in Los Angeles or New York City after graduation. She hopes to use her creativity and writing skills to someday work at a magazine, television studio, or large company. Her hobbies include blogging, baking, running, singing, trying new makeup, dreaming, laughing, and keeping up with her favorite shows on Hulu. KAITLIN HOLBROOK is a junior from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a Media Arts & Design major with a concentration in Journalism. She is a founding member of her sorority Phi Mu and previously served as the Parents and Alumnae Chairman. She is also a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda honor society. She is a sports fanatic - especially when it comes to her JMU dukes  - and she's a diehard Redskins fan! She is in love with JMU and looks forward to giving back to the community.  Kaitlin is super excited to be a new member of the Her Campus team!

KATHARINE DONOHOE is a junior Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communications major with a minor in Women's Studies from Arlington, Virginia. She is a dedicated member of Safe Rides and absolutely loves going to UREC, when she finds the time. Katharine loves swimming, hiking, catching up on her Netflix queue, experimenting in the kitchen, and people watching on the Quad. She loves bro-tanks, coffee, and Her Campus JMU!

KATHLEEN KALINSKY is a freshman that loves to be involved in her community.  She is the oldest of four kids, and is from San Diego, California.  Her family moved back to Great Falls, VA because of her dad's job five days after high school graduation.  In high school she played club volleyball, and was a junior lifeguard in Del Mar one summer, but realized she was much better on land with no hand-eye-coordination required!  She was on Varsity Cross-Country and Track for three years, captain for two, and has run five half marathons to date.  One of her favorite quotes is, "if nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies." It reminds her that change is good, and the only thing constant in life is change.  Another one is, “if you don't have a smile, I'll share one of mine.”  Oh, and sheloves the color pink!

KAYLA COOPER is a sophomore Communication Sciences and Disorders major. Along with Her Campus, Kayla has served as a First Year Orientation Guide (FrOG) and is also involved in the Student Government Association as a student representative. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with friends.  She has a passion for JMU and loves meeting new people!

KIARA MAURO is a freshman here at JMU, originally from Ridgefield, CT. She is planning to work in advertising or public relations after graduating from school. Kiara loves to spend time with friends, travel, volunteer in the community, and go to concerts during the summer. She is excited to be a part of the sorority Alpha Sigma Tau and the Her Campus team!

LISL MAGBOO, a Northern California girl at heart, is a senior Public Relations major here at JMU. This past summer, Lisl was a social media intern at Rogers & Cowan (Los Angeles) and is returning for her second year as an intern at JMU's Office of Public Affairs. As a former Her Campus Branch Manager, Lisl is excited to contribute to JMU's social media team and is a part of HC's first batch of Campus Correspondents.  She is a proud member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and serves as her chapter’s academic development chair.  Lisl enjoys traveling, baking, hiking and is obsessed with the San Francisco Giants.

MEGAN HARMAN is a senior Media Arts & Design major with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in French.  She is from Virginia Beach, Virginia and is currently studying in London for the fall semester. She is a staff sports writer for The Breeze and her experience has landed her a dream internship in London for the UK's ESPN network. While working and taking three classes, Megan will entertain us this fall with her study abroad collection. From everything she's heard about going abroad to everything she experiences abroad, her outgoing and spontaneous personality will bring her European journey across the pond to Her Campus JMU. Anything to do with France, Chunky Monkey ice cream, or sports, open her heart and bring a sparkle to her eyes.

MELINDA BOISJOLIE is a senior from Loudoun County, Virginia outside of Washington D.C.  She is double majoring in Corporate Communications in the School of Media Arts and Design and Sociology with a concentration in Social Inequalities and Public Policy.  This is her first year with Her Campus and she is excited to be part of the team and indulge in entertainment news, fashion, and relationship advice more so than she does already.  Melinda is also involved with the University Program Board, the Madison American Advertising Federation, and JMU's PRSSA.  After graduation, Melinda hopes to pursue a career in nonprofits somewhere along the lines of education, technology, and communication, aiding with outreach, publicity and advocacy efforts.

MONIKA SLOWIKOWSKI is a junior Communication Studies major concentrating in Public Relations with a minor in Spanish. She is a new member to Her Campus and is having so much fun working on the social media team! Monika is also an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Her passions include traveling, music, fashion and scuba diving. She has a bit of a wild side when it comes to adventure, having snorkeled with whale sharks, flown an airplane, and gallivanted across the globe. Monika hopes to travel the rest of the world, especially to South America, New Zealand, and South Africa to cage dive with the great white sharks! She loves JMU and is enjoying her last 3 semesters!

MORGAN GABALY, a proud Sagittarius, is currently a junior majoring in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communications major, concentrating in Technical and Scientific Writing.  She is from Jefferson, Maryland and likes to believe “The Miniature America” is the best place to be. Period.   Morgan has two older brothers and parents that constantly assist her in becoming who she is today.  Working in New York City as an NBC Universal intern in the summer of 2011 allowed Morgan to find her new love for city life. The internship provided her with tools that she will be able to work with in the future along with the lucky spot of living in Mid Manhattan. She hopes that in the near future New York City will be her temporary home to help build her career as a writer. Success is something she strives for and she believes her motivation of going places as an independent will make her goal of success possible. Morgan is easily satisfied in the company of friends, family, and delicious food. From foie gras’ to alligator, she stays open minded and excited for new flavors that come her way. Traveling is another aspiration that Morgan hopes to stumble upon in the future. That way her love for food and culture will easily be sought out on the journeys she plans to make.

NICOLE ERNEY is a sophomore Psychology major with a minor in Studio Art.  She is from Centreville, Virginia and loves to be outdoors as much as possible.  She is currently pledging the professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi.  Nicole can usually be spotted at one of the Starbucks on campus ordering her usual chai tea latte to keep her going throughout the day.  She loves crafting, baking, hiking, summer, her dog, Buster, and most of all, JMU!

NICOLE NAPOLITANO is a senior majoring in Writing, Rhetoric & Technical Communication and minoring in Human Resource Development. This is Nicole's second year working with Her Campus. She recently started working with Campus Trendsetters, where she blogs about the latest and greatest products. She is an active member and Public Relations chair in her sorority, Sigma Kappa. A Long Island girl and NY native, Nicole hopes to move into NYC after graduating this year and work in the magazine industry, specializing in music, art or fashion, but not until she tries out traveling the west coast first.

RACHAEL MORIN is a junior studying Writing Rhetoric and Technical Communication with a concentration in Writing Rhetoric and a minor in Women’s Studies. She is from New Fairfield, Connecticut and has been a writer for Her Campus JMU since her freshman year. While Rachael can almost always be found in Carrier Library, she is very active in her sorority, Alpha Sigma Alpha, and can be seen at many Greek Life events as well. Some of Rachael’s favorite activities include taking long runs around campus, watching movies, hanging out with her sisters and going to East Campus Dining Hall for weekend brunch with her friends. Rachael hopes to someday work in New York City for a fashion and beauty magazine and live out her own version of “Sex and the City” where she is character Carrie Bradshaw and lives happily ever after.
