Valerie Detwiler, a freshman at IU and a Bloomington native, is rocking this eclectic and chic outfit! Her favorite piece is obviously the fox sweater. Her best friend bought it for her at Urban Outfitters, knowing how much she loves sequins. Plus it has so much character! She kept the rest of her outfit simple and inexpensive with a denim jacket and purple flats from Old Navy, pants from Forever 21, and a structured bag from Target.
Valerie says she does not have a defined style—she experiments a lot with her look. She used to wear heels and dress up a lot, but ever since coming to college, she has mostly played it casual. But her outfit is never without a statement piece to help her stand out!
As for her cute pixie haircut, she says it’s a long story. Over the summer she bleached it and has since gone through six different colors! After getting tired of that, she chopped it all off and decided to go with her gorgeous natural red. She loves short hair because it’s so fun and easy. We agree that her cute haircut accentuates her casual and quirky style!
