With his laid back personality and goofy sense of humor, it is no surprise that this week’s Illinois State Campus Cutie is junior, Donny Calmeyn. Between him opening the doors for me and buying my ice cream during the interview, this guy proves that chivalry is not dead. When asked about his favorite food he answered, “Anything someone is willing to cook for me because I can’t cook.” Well, I don’t think he will have to wait long before some lucky lady will cook a meal with him.

HerCampus ISU: So you’re a double major, pretty impressive…what is your dream job?
Donny Calmeyn: If I could choose anything it would be a bartender or to own my own bar, but realistically working in investments.
HC: So you’re single…what do you look for in a girl?
DC: Someone who is funny, likes to drink beer and watch sports. I like when girls are easy-going.
HC: What is the sweetest thing you have ever done for a lady?
DC: I was dating a girl, and on her birthday I surprised her by cooking her dinner. Afterwards I brought her outside, and had her look through a telescope. I showed her the star I had named after her.
HC: Wow! You’re quite the charmer! What are your biggest turn offs in a girl?
DC: Girls who seek too much attention, or when they are high maintenance or too needy.
HC: What so you like to do in your spare time?
DC: I like playing golf and hockey, and I always like a good beer.
HC: Who is your celeb crush?
DC: Carrisa Thompson, she is beautiful and loves sports

DC: I just got a new puppy named Kallie!

DC: Dinner followed by a sporting event of her choice and drinks after…..and obviously long walks on the beach.
HC: If you were trapped in a desert island what three things would you bring?
DC: A satellite, a boat and crackers to tide me over.
HC: What’s the top thing on your bucket list?
DC: To play golf at St. Andrews or Augusta National
HC: Now the most important question…what is your favorite Disney movie?
DC: The Lion King, it is just so good.
