3. What do you do for fun?
I enjoy exploring new places and trying new things. Favorite pastime, hands down, is expanding the network and meeting new people.

4. Favorite sport?
Nothing’s better than watching the “Greatest Show on Turf” STL Rams, but I prefer playing basketball and lacrosse with my cousins.

5. What do you look for in a significant other?
Someone who shares a common interest and offers a fresh perspective on life would be nice. Aside from that, I look for a sociable sweetheart who’s genuine.

6. What type of music do you listen to?
I listen to Kanye, Common, and Kendrick Lamar with a random mix of Esperanza Spalding’s urban Brazilian jazz.

7. Holiday plans?
I’m going home to spend time with my family before my brother heads off to Musawa, Japan to fulfill his commission. For half of the break I’ll be at the National Institutes of Health for a neuroscience research training seminar.

8. #1 request on your holiday wish list?
2011 World Series St. Louis Cardinals Windbreaker Jacket or iPad… Both would be nice.

9. What do you like most about yourself?
I appreciate my curiosity, focus, and drive to be the best at whatever I decide is important to me. My peers voted me “Best Smile” for our high school Senior Personalities, so I’m obliged to thank my parents for braces.

10. Last words?
“I look at my environment and wonder where the fire went. What happened to everything we used to be? I hear so many cry for help, searching outside of themselves. Now I know that His strength is within me.” -Lauryn
 

Kalia Williams sophomore English major with a a minor in Journalism. She is from McAllen, TX, a budding town on the border of Texas and Mexico. She is interested in fashion, cinematography, traveling and learning languages.
