5 Best Netflix Series to Binge-Watch Over Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

I spend every free second I have watching Netflix. It is a serious addiction. With all the snow and cold weather that’s to come you’re going to be spending much more time in your bed. There are some great series, long and short, that you could binge watch over your winter break.

1. How I Met Your Mother (9 Seasons)

If you’re in for a good laugh this is definitely the series to watch.

2. The Carrie Diaries (2 Seasons)

This series was sadly cancelled by The CW, but it was such a great show. Thankfully, the two seasons are on Netflix. If you’re into Sex and the City you’ll enjoy this show, which is supposed to be Carrie Bradshaw in her teenage years. It goes through every typical teenage issue… family drama, arguments between friends, and relationships. I fell in love with it, and since its been cancelled I have re-watched it on Netflix.

3. Gossip Girl (6 Seasons)

My personal favorite, I have probably watched this series about 6 times through. It is addicting. It has all the drama you could possibly want in a show.

4. One Tree Hill (9 Seasons)

Definitely second to Gossip Girl. You’re bound to cry multiple times.

5. Orange Is The New Black (2 Seasons)

OITNB completely blew up recently. It is a show based on what life is like in a women’s prison. Not only will it give you a great laugh, but you will also feel for some of these characters and their stories.
