With the semester winding down and thesis terror taking over, this Saturday night was the perfect chance for the Fords to let off some steam and get their dancing shoes on. A clash of themes and DJs left the campus split between the classy Sun Dance in Founders and the Miami vices in 19. But, whichever way you swung on Saturday night, everyone took advantage of the chance to sneak in a few Fordifications at the end of a long week. Up campus the Fords dressed up in their semi-formal attire for the annual Sun Dance with DJ CamB serving up some classic mixes and hip-hop. However, there seemed to be a few clouds in the sky that night as the party never popped-off. Maybe none of you were in the formal mood, but I expected at least a decent showing for this classic Founders dance.
Down campus was a whole different story as people gradually streamed into the basement in their best “Miami Vice” swag. Although some were a tad confused about what a Miami vice theme entails (“Is Miami Vice like Cops??), everyone definitely got the vice part down. Girls showed up in their sexy club dresses and wedges, while the guys channeled their inner Pablo Escobar with fake staches and white suits. A certain dischy* duo were definitely inspired by the Miami theme sporting flared collars and drug-lord mustaches. All that was missing were the Cubans for this double dose of Miami heat. As always, DJ Fen was setting the mood with a club-atmosphere that turned 19 into Club Liv. Although the fire alarm put a slight hitch in the evening, everyone took the opportunity to spit some game and lock down their next dance partners. One stud wasn’t will-ing to share the dance floor as he tore it up in front of the DJ booth all night long with his signature raise-the-roof moves. But, the ladies were not to be showed up on the d-floor as a foxy flirt was Socking-it-to-em with her suspiciously short skirt and killer moves. Across the room a gaggle of girls held down the corner with some dirty dancing, but it didn’t look like they were letting anyone in their diamond that night. There were also quite a few Campus Cuties getting the party started. In particular, two of our most dashing tall-dark-and-handsome cuties were the life of the party roaming the crowd and making sure to entertain all of the Miami vixens.
As the night was winding down, one rae of sunshine snuck a kiss at the stroke of midnight…Can you guess who her prince charming was?? All in all, no matter what party you chose to attend I hope you had a sexy and scandalous night. Stay tuned for the full report on next weekend’s shenanigans.
