Bradley Cooper
One of most Hoya collegiette’s™ favorite Georgetown alum is actor Bradley Cooper (COL ’97). Bradley Cooper is best known for his roles in the films The Hangover, Wedding Crashers, Limitless, and A-Team. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cooper spent his freshman year at Villanofun before transferring to Georgetown!
Last year, Bradley Cooper returned to his alma mater to give an interview in front of a packed audience in Gaston Hall. The lines to get a seat stretched all the way to Red Square. Cooper was an English major in the honors program, and described himself as far from a partier, preferring to soak up knowledge and study acting. Cooper spoke of his love for the school. After being rejected initially, Cooper was thrilled to be accepted as a transfer. However, he admits he frequently worried that he did not deserve his spot. It seems like Cooper can rest assured that he earned his spot, and continues to make Georgetown proud!
Bradley Cooper left Hoyas with a word of advice – to succeed you must be willing to fail. “Just fall on your face. Who cares? Really, it’s the only way you’re going to learn.” Seems to have worked well for him!
