My Freshman Year Recap

It’s crazy to think that my first year of college is almost over. During this first year, I have learned so many things, not just school related, but things about myself. They say that you make some of your best friends during college. I did not understand this, until I got here. Now looking back at the last few months, I have realized that I have made friends to last a lifetime. I learned that in college, the friends you make don’t have to be like you, or they can. It really doesn’t matter, because you come to find out that everyone is different, but that can be what makes you the best of friends.

College is a time to figure out things for yourself, and about yourself. You come into college and all of a sudden, all the freedom in the world seems to be yours. You go from having a curfew, having a job, dinner with family, to living on your own and having your classes be your own responsibility. At first, it seems like a lot to handle, however, as time goes on, you take the independence in stride. If you are ever struggling while in college, make sure to think of why you are there. At the end of the four years, you are going to have a full education, awesome friends, learning experience, life experience, and much more. Even after just one year at school, I have learned and gained so much that I cannot wait for what the following years bring. As the end of the school year approaches, it is important to look back on all of the good times that you have had and make sure to remember those moments and cherish them, because college flies by, and before you know it, you will be graduating!
