Grown Up Girl Scout Cookie Pairings

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DU chapter.

Every year at this time, we have a choice- either run and hide from every grocery store and little girl in a green sash or embrace the increase in your daily calorie intake and welcome Girl Scout cookie season with open arms. For those of you still resisting the temptation, would you change your mind if I told you that instead of dipping your Thin Mints in milk that you could pair them with a boozey treat? We did some research (some very fun research) to bring you a boozey pairing for some of our favorite Girl Scout cookies this season. Get ready to experience your favorite cookies like never before.

Thin Mints & Denver Beer Co.’s Graham Cracker Porter…it’s basically a Thin Mint’s dark, frothy, and sweet soul mate.

Caramel Delites (aka Samoas) & a Koka Kia from Adrift…the Koka Kia at Adrift Bar on South Broadway is a blended drink full of bananas and chocolate gin. Plus, you can totally bring a box of cookies to the bar- I already cleared it with the manager.

Vegan S’mores & Left Hand Brewery’s Nitro Milk Stout…like milk cookies, but how Santa always wished that pairing would be.

Vegan Lemonades & your favorite rosé (if you are like me then all rosés are your favorite rosés)

Shortbreads & Chardonnay…because wine.

Vegan Peanutbutter Patties & a cabernet sauvignon…because, well, because wine.
