Spring semester is in full swing, which means that we have to prepare to say goodbye to some wonderful seniors. Once again we’re putting the spotlight on some of the fabulous members of the class of 2017! The first member of our Senior Series is Olivia Cotton. Read on to hear her favorite things about Clark and words of advice to underclassmen!
Name: Olivia Cotton
Hometown: Northampton, MA
Major: Psychology
Minor (if you have one): Spanish
Favorite Professor at Clark: Professor Addis
Favorite Class at Clark: Human Sexuality
Favorite Bistro Snack: Pizzaritas
Favorite Spot to Study on Campus and Why:
The chairs near the big windows on the fourth floor of the library. It’s quiet, cozy, and looking out over the campus is a good distraction when necessary.
What has been your favorite thing about going to school at Clark?
All the opportunities that I’ve taken advantage of. Being a varsity athlete, achieving academic success, and being involved in clubs isn’t possible at all colleges.
What will you miss most about Clark?
Definitely the friendly atmosphere and all of the friends and connections I have made here.
What clubs and activities were you involved with on campus?
I played field hockey for all four years, and I was the treasurer of Student Activities Board, along with being a member NRHH for a short time.
What are your best words of wisdom for underclassmen?
Get involved in a couple clubs or activities early on that you’re passionate about. Make sure you don’t overbook yourself or else you won’t be able to give enough time to all of your commitments. Enjoy every day at Clark and appreciate every opportunity because it goes by quickly.
What are your plans post-graduation?
I’m currently looking for an internship or job, and then I’ll most likely go to grad school to get my Master’s.
Thanks, Olivia!
