Profile: Taylor Petschl

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Poly chapter.

This is Taylor Petschl… basically the most hard-working girl you will ever meet!

Major: Journalism, concentrating in Public Relations

1. Where are you from?

I was born in San Diego, but moved to Montrose, Colorado when I was eight. As much as I wanted out of that small town by the time I graduated high school, I definitely love that I grew up there.

2. What is your position on Her Campus?

I am an editor, a writer, the Facebook manager and a member of the PR team!

3. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully in 10 years I’ll be working on completing my anesthesiology residency in a great hospital in a big city somewhere, and just being really happy with my life! Oh, and I better have a few more pugs by then.

4. What motivates you to work hard?

Honestly, I love being able to look back on something I’ve done and feeling proud of myself for getting through something that’s challenged me. I know that one day I’ll be looking back to where I am now, and I really want to be able to say I did everything I possibly could to accomplish every goal I set for myself.

5. If you had a warning label what would yours say?

Warning: Unstoppable after consuming coffee.

No, but really. Coffee makes my world go round.

6. What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be an anesthesiologist in a children’s hospital, and also write for a medical journal. Most people think it’s bizarre that I’m a journalism major who wants to be a doctor, but I really hope I can combine the two paths for my future career.

7. Who inspires you?

As cliché as it sounds, my mom truly inspires me every day. She is the most genuine, driven and caring person I have ever met. I feel so beyond lucky that she’s my mom and best friend. I hope to even just be half the woman she is one day.
