10 LUSH Products You Need to Try

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Poly chapter.

For those of you who don’t know, there’s a LUSH in San Luis Obispo. That’s right folks, perfect skin is right around the corner. And while the store is mostly known for its bathbombs (which are the bomb.com), Lush has so many other products that can help you get that glowing skin and silky hair you’ve always dreamed of!

1.    Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub

Okay, not only does this smell like a beautiful day at the beach, it does wonders for your skin! Packed with coarse and fine sea salt and avocado butter this scrub will help your skin glow. Did I also mention its vodka infused? That’s right, because vodka is actually good for brightening your skin!

2. Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie

Want your skin to feel buttery smooth? Look no further. This shower smoothie is a soap but with a whipped, creamy consistency, making your skin feel like velvet. It also smells heavenly, as the smoothie is packed with rose oil that is ethically sourced from a rose farm in Turkey. The cool thing about this farm? It funds the only free public school in all of Turkey!

3. 93,000 Miles Shower Jelly

This shower jelly may look like jello but it does wonder to your muscles. Full of eucalyptus, mint, cinnamon, and peppermint, 93,000 miles is perfect after tough workouts or even a long day on your feet. The cool thing about Lush’s shower jellies is that you can stick them in the freezer and they still stay that jello consistency. But they get super super cold, which is perfect in a hot shower on achy muscles!

4. I Love Juicy Shampoo

I Love Juicy is perfect for those who have a bit more oily hair, as it is packed with lemon, papaya, pineapple, orange, kiwi, and mango juice, all good for getting your hair squeaky clean!

And with all of the fruits, the scent is fresh and fruity!

5. Fairly Traded Honey Shampoo

With a thick consistency, it’s no wonder that Fairly Traded Honey is 50% honey! While honey smells amazing, it is also great for making your hair feel silky smooth, like you just came back from the salon! And with the honey being completely fair trade, who wouldn’t want it?

6. New! Shampoo Bar

Now what exactly is a shampoo bar? It looks like soap but works just like a shampoo that you can work into a luscious lather in your hair. It is also completely a solid which is perfect for traveling, especially on airplanes since it isn’t a liquid. New! shampoo bar is amazing in itself too, as it is great for people wanting to help get their hair a little longer. This shampoo has a nettle and peppermint infusion along with clove and cinnamon oil –all great for stimulating the scalp and promoting new hair growth!

7. Retread Conditioner

Lush’s most conditioning conditioner, Retread is perfect for those in need of intense moisture. Full of seaweed, lanolin, cantaloupe, and yogurt this conditioner is perfect for helping you get those beautiful silky locks!

8. Grease Lightning Tea Tree Cleanser

Used like a spot treatment, Grease Lightning is perfect for getting rid of any pesky pimples that arise on your face. Tea tree works wonders on skin and helping to remove blemishes.

9. Dream Cream Hand and Body Lotion

With its beautiful, calming scent, Dream Cream is lovely for people with sensitive skin. It is full of oat milk, rose water, organic olive oil, organic cocoa butter, chamomile, and lavender oil, all of which work wonders for anyone with dry sensitive skin.

10. New Charity Pot Hand and Body Lotion

Charity Pot is one of Lush’s most loved products. With fair trade olive oil and cocoa butter it makes your skin luxuriously soft. But this product doesn’t stop there. Not only is it great on your skin, but it helps others too! Because with every purchase of Charity Pot, 100% of the profit is donated to different grassroot charities around the world. Pretty cool huh?
