Her Campus Bucknell wants to announce its support for the movement  #ActuallySheCan. The purpose of this movement is to toss out negativity, and move toward the positivity. In other words, “less drama, more karma.” Here are a few simple ways in which you can work on developing your own positive outlook!1. Find a Mentor.

Remember that you can find mentors in unlikely places. Pay attention to the people in your daily life. Your mentor might end up being a classmate, a girl in your sorority, or even someone you follow on social media.

2. Meditate.

Studies have shown that daily meditation for eight weeks can have just as effective results as daily antidepressants. Set aside 10 to 15 minutes every day to focus on your breathing and bodily sensations.

3. Don’t juggle too much.

It’s okay to say “no thanks” when you need to- you don’t need to explain yourself or feel bad about it. Keep your responses short and honest, and your friends will appreciate it.

4. Make goals.

Find what inspires you, and get out there. Every time you talk yourself down, reverse it into a positive statement. The whole “fake it till you make it” idea can work wonders when you apply it to stressful everyday life situations.5. Follow #ActuallySheCan on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

This movement focuses on wellness, goals, and building relationships. Engage with this hashtag to find other like-minded and driven women!

What's up Collegiettes! I am so excited to be one half of the Campus Correspondent team for Bucknell's chapter of Her Campus along with the lovely Julia Shapiro.  I am currently a senior at Bucknell studying Creative Writing and Sociology.
