Your Guide to Enjoying Boston’s Warm Weather

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Summer is coming to a close, and the weather is slowly shifting to fall (finally!). Time to break out the cute cardigans and print scarves!

However, there are still a few weeks left of good weather. Don’t be lazy, and go out to enjoy it! Trust me – when you’re stuck inside from the crazy snowstorms, come December, you’ll regret not having enjoyed the warm weather.

If you’re at a loss as to where to start, here’s a list of a few places you might want to check out:

Museum of Fine Arts

465 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115

Accessible by the T, the Museum is highly underrated. With the weather so nice, it’s definitely worth a trip to go look at fine art and enjoy a sandwich and chips outside. As Boston University students, we get the additional perk of free admission when you show your BUID. With that in mind, you definitely have no excuse to not go and have a look around.

SoWa Open Markets

460 Harrison Ave, Boston MA 02118

If you’re a fan of food trucks, open markets, and free admission, this is the place for you. Open every Sunday till October, SoWa Open Markets features a Farmers Market and Arts Market. The Farmers Market boasts a large variety of foods to choose from, including local produce. The Arts Market features a large selection of handmade goods. This is definitely a great place to bring friends for a chill Sunday afternoon.

Salem Heritage Tours

40 English S Salem, MA 01970

If you’re looking for a farther trip, you can look into going to Salem. While Salem’s a lot more fun during Halloween, it’s also worth a trip just to learn about the rich history surrounding the area. They require a group of 2+, but they provide you with a tour guide that leads you all around, giving you historic background and detail. If you’re looking for a change of pace, make the trip to Salem
