Songs to Help you Fall into Autumn

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

There are a number of reasons to love summer; it is difficult to let go of the good times of setting up campfires and roasting marshmallows, toasting yourself in the sun at the beach, or sipping homemade lemonade and reminding yourself that you have no responsibilities. It is especially hard to squint and read “October” in your planner when you recall move-in happening only a few weeks ago. The only tactic that has ever successfully pushed me into the depths of fall is my music! Listening to some autumn-themed songs will relax you and remind you that fall is not just a semester, but a beautiful season full of more colorful leaves than exams, more counts of pumpkin scents than visits to office hours, and more warm comfortable sweaters than all-nighters.

Tune in:

1. We Are Going To Be Friends—The White Stripes

2. Autumn Leaves—Ed Sheeran

3. Fall—Ed Sheeran

4. Like Real People Do—Hozier

5. The Neighbourhood—Sweater Weather

6. Seasons—Neil Halstead

7. Autumn Almanac—The Kinks

8. Leaves That Are Green—Simon and Garfunkel

9. Only You—Joshua Radin

10. Be Still—The Fray

And if these 10 songs are still keeping you longing for summer, just take another sip of your pumpkin spice latte and remember that this season is way better than Boston’s winter will ever be.

Happy listening!
