Class: 2015
Major/Minor: Hopefully Business by the end of this semester
Hometown: Great Neck, NY, strong island represent
HC: So you were just elected East Quad Senator, congrats! How is that going, and what do you hope to accomplish for the year?
EL: Thanks! So far it’s been going well. I’ve been meeting with the Student Union and the CDC of East to do my best to improve the quad for the majority of the class that’s living here. I want to improve some of the facility concerns and hopefully have some sort of Pom/Hass mixer so that everyone gets to meet each other.
HC: What’s it like being on the fencing team at Brandeis?
EL: Being on the fencing team here is great. I absolutely love it. We’re like a giant family (some would argue we’re more like a cult) and it’s great to be surrounded by people of all different personalities and skill levels and to compete against a variety of schools, even those that are Division 1.
HC: Did you fence before coming to school?
EL: I fenced for my high school team (Great Neck South) and for a club outside of school (Five Towns Fencers Club). I’ve been fencing since 9th grade.
HC: What’s your favorite class you’ve taken at Brandeis so far?
EL: My favorite class was True Crime in American Culture with Professor Doherty. It was an interesting class I never would have thought I’d take in a million years.
HC: Do you have a hidden talent?
EL: Nothing really comes to mind, I can however solve a rubik’s cube. Does that count?
