6 Tips for Stress-Free Finals

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Auburn chapter.

Ah, April. A month filled with light rain, warm temperatures and the frustrated sighs of college students everywhere realizing that the due date that seemed so far off is now just two weeks away. The stress piles up especially during this time, so I have compiled a list of the anti-stress techniques that have helped me decompress.

Face Masks

An oldie but a goodie. Face masks force me to at least feel relaxed for a 20 minute period. Plus my face thanks me for it. I always feel more productive when my skin is happy.

Have a Dance Party

Exercise has been proven over and over to be a wonderful stress reliever, but I’m personally not a very motivated person when it comes to working out. I do, however, love to bust a move on the dance floor every chance I get. My go-to playlist at the moment has been all the High School Musical Soundtracks. It reminds me of the time when my only cares were which capri-sun I wanted.

Make some Slime

Youtube has jumped on this trend and offered us a wide array of different tutorials

Is there anything more satisfying?

Desk Yoga

If you need a quick break but still want to feel productive, try out some desk yoga. No mat required. It calms you down in just 15 minutes, and it’s actually pretty fun.

Take a Shower

Sometimes all you need is a shower to wash away all the negative energy from the day and make you feel so much better.

Think Positive!

You’re almost there. Change the words that come out of your mouth to words that are uplifting and see the difference it makes. This is a habit that I’m trying to incorporate into my everyday life, and it’s not only helped me out but also made my friends’ moods improve too.
