Finding a lip gloss or lipstick that fits your skin tone can be a difficult task. The best way to handle this is to follow some simple guidelines! Whether your day includes a casual day around town, or some fun later that night, with these tips, you can be prepared for any occasion!
1. FAIR SKIN TONES
Day: When you have fair skin, or you are just simply pale, it is probably best to go with a clear gloss during the day. You already have pink lips: just make them shiny!
Night: A light pink, coral, or peach lipstick will give you the pop you need for a night out.
2. MEDIUM SKIN TONES
Day: You’re the lucky ones! You can wear anything you want, and it will probably work. However, your best option for a gloss is clear, light pink, coral, or peach.
Night: For a good lipstick for medium skin tones, use something drastic, such as brown, pink, and even red (red is best with darker hair colors)!
3. TAN SKIN TONES
Day: During the day, most shades of brown will look beautiful! You can also do clear glosses as well, and pull them off great!
Night: Purple based lipsticks and glosses are best for you to have an edgy look for going out at night.
4. DARK SKIN TONES
Day: Just like tan skin tones, you can pull a brown lip, but the lighter, the better!
Night: Drastic choices are where you want to go with this one! Generally, red is a great choice. Orange or coral based will also look beautiful on this skin tone.
